Why
Join?
Well, why not? I mean, whats five
quid these days? It wont even buy you a couple of pints in most pubs. As
membership fees go its pennies really and the rewards for signing up are plentiful.
Now
I know there are some of you out there who don`t like organised coach travel.
There are also some of you who prefer to make your own way to games. Fair play,
I say. Nobody is trying to brow beat folk into doing something they don`t want
to do.
At
the end of the day this is all about supporting the Pirates and making some real
noise when they run out on foreign fields, isnt it? But
by joining the Press Gang for a measly five quid you become a member of one of
the most respected supporters organisations in British rugby and help us
keep prices as low as possible for match day travel. Surely thats a fair
deal? The friendship and camaraderie amongst Pirates fans
is second to none. Our relationship with the team is very
special. The respect we gain around the country for our
sportsmanship and sheer sense of fun is something to be proud of. | |
The
Press Gang simply wants to help as many of you as possible make the trek up country
as often as you can to sample this great sporting experience. Nothing more. Nothing
less. You don`t even have to be based in Cornwall as the Press Gang has a thriving
Midlands Branch. London is next. Any offers out there?
For
the more business minded of you out there If you want to sponsor any of our away
travel we will provide you with global publicity via this website.
We
are already raising revenue via e-commerce commissions and have recently attracted
amongst others to our travel sponsorship network Boa of Penzance, and the Savoy
Ottoman Palace Hotel and Casino of Kyrenia in Cyprus. For just as the Pirates
are a brand with global potential so are the Press Gang. We may exist to support
the club but we still remain a wholly independent body.
This
season will be logistically challenging for the Press Gang with extra trips north
of Birmingham due to the vagaries of promotion and relegation.
Nevertheless
we are currently engaged in positive negotiations to provide luxury travel at
affordable rates.
Last season was good. This season will
be better. But don`t be put off worrying that you don`t know anybody on the bus
for we were all strangers to each other once.
The common
bond is the Cornish Pirates and having a good time is just a natural progression
from that.
So sign up today just a single blue note
will do the trick. Because wherever the Pirates go the Press Gang are certain
to follow.
You wouldnt want to miss out. Would
you?
